Three men and a 33-year-old Thai woman were arrested for possessing ketum water in a house in Kampung Makam here.

Police detained them after a tip-off and a month's surveillance by district anti-narcotics officers at around 1am on Wednesday.

OCPD Deputy Supt M. Kumar said the four suspects, aged between 29 and 35, have been remanded to assist with investigations.

He said police also found 300 litres of ketum water packed into 509 plastic packets that could be sold for RM5 each.

“We also seized equipment believed to be used to process and pack the ketum water at the house.

“Among the items seized were weighing scales, stoves and gas tanks,” he said in a statement here on Thursday.
